MVP Wins Major SSHRC Grant
The Modernist Versions Project (MVP) is delighted to announce that it has been awarded a SSHRC Partnership Development Grant in the amount of $200,000 over three years. This grant funding will enable the MVP to continue to build strong relationships with its official partners, who already support the project with over $2 million in support: EMiC , NINES , the Electronic and Textual Cultures Lab at UVic, Fairleigh Dickinson University , Islandora/DiscoveryGarden , and the Modernist Journals Project . It will also allow the MVP to pursue further formal partnerships with its informal collaborators such as the Beinecke Library at Yale University. The funds will be primarily allocated to student training and post-doctoral fellows whose work will advance the MVP's core objective to produce a fully-integrated online environment for the ingestion, mark-up, collation, and visualisation of modernist texts that exist in multiple versions.
The MVP is based at UVic, and is co-directed by Stephen Ross (UVic), Jentery Sayers (UVic), James Gifford (Fairleigh Dickinson University), J. Matthew Huculak (Dalhousie University), Susan Schreibman (Trinity College, Dublin), and Tanya Clement (University of Texas at Austin).
